چکیده

Abstract Lipomas are the most common non-epithelial tumours of colon. Nevertheless, symptomatic colonic lipomas a rare entity in adults. Intussusception is commonest complication submucosal and often presents with absent, non-specific or intermittent symptoms, hence diagnosis challenging. We present case young female patient few weeks history abdominal pain associated nausea. She had previously undergone various investigations including colonoscopy was awaiting elective left hemicolectomy. presented Emergency department subacute large bowel obstruction. A CT confirmed colo-colic intussusception due descending lipoma. The underwent procedure - following mobilisation, performed colotomy placed taenia on opposite wall. mucosal defect were closed excision. recovery uneventful histopathology specimen diagnosis.
